Sounds like we'll have an online build soon.

Tamiya has done a great job on this rig they will sell lots of these. I also like their interest and involvement in the Scale Nationals looks like Crawling is no longer a fad.

Larrio, if you send me one - I'll do an interactive buildup like the one I made for the Wild Willy 2 four years ago, but more detailed and with studio photos:

How many turns does the motor have that comes with the kit?

I saw in the manual that it will be using LSDs, am I correct?
I tought locked differentials are better for crawling?

Thanks!

i believe it comes with a 27 turn stock Tamiaya 540 sized can motor

it is set up so you can install led's.. it does not come with em

locked is better... err.. best i plan on JB weld'n the spyder gears.. or give it a couple of weeks and someone will produce on weather it be Tamiya or aftermarket

instead of JB weld, why not use original Tamiya difflocks found in the XC kits (g spur)?
They replace the spider gears, and are a reversible lock without damaging any parts. I bought several sets years ago, and they are still available (Tamiya VW Touareg and the re-release of the XC Pajero uses them, so spares isn't a problem).

will it fit the cr-01 diff? If it does then this is the best diff lock for the cr-01.. cheap, reversible, and easy to install..

From only looking at the manual, I'd say they'll fit (same internal diff gears as various other models).
They are a direct fit in the TLT axles, and I don't think Tamiya has made the spider gears in a different size for the CR01 axles.

I use them on my TLT axles, and on the Tamiya XC chassis...

You guys worried about locked diffs need to look at step 7 in the manual.

They lock like the High-Lift axles.
