Thumbs up GDD CR01 Landcruiser!!

Well after an epic build I finally got it done minus the body! Obviously it is heavier and a little more complex than a Scorpion! Very solid truck, I want to keep it as stock as possible but see how it goes! Need to get a decent servo first

Anyway hope you enjoy the pics, still needs to go and get dirty ;)

A couple of comparison pics!

At the moment I am running an Atlas 50T motor with the stock pinion but I will probably change the pinion out as it is a little fast. Got this hooked up to a Sidewinder ;)

Took it for a bit of a bash outside today but need to work more on my test track...this thing has potential and I am impressed. Feels solid and quiet stable but will see how it goes on the weekend!

Grab a couple of pics outside..enjoy

Thanks for the comments.

The colour is Tamiya PS-52 Champagne Gold Anondized Aluminium...applied on the outside of the shell. I sprayed the inside with a primer coloured paint for when it gets scratched. A work in progress so to speak ;)

Thanks for the comments, the performance has really surprised me. It kept up with and in some places did better than the stock Scorpion however I really need to get it onto some tougher terrain and give it a good work out.

So far I am very happy with it ;)

How did you get yours to articulate so much? Are you running without the stabilizer bars? Just curious.

Love the color. I went with the deep green myself.

Yeah, I decided not to run the stabilisers and I used some light oil...I think 35W!

Found this great product here and have been giving a try on some bodies I have recently been making as well as the Cruiser.

Basically it is rust ;)

Here are some pics

Hey aidan!

Nice too see you're still rocking the crawlers :P

I'm tossing up between one of those or the AX-10, Which is better bang for buck preferabally and how does this go compared too the ax10 in general?

Cheers!

Hey Kanzai..... you get around ;) Still rocking the crawlers! As for which one, depends on what you want to do and where you crawl. The CR01 is great fun but the AX-10 will go places the CR01 won't although it is quite capable!

The product is made by a store here in Japan, their original product. It is a 2 part solution of a metal type paint which is applied and once dry you apply the second part and over 2 days it will literally "rust". Works on plastic, wood and metal
