Talking cartronicshn's CR 01 Fjwacker Honduras style

So i got my new CR 01 kit on saturday afternoon and got right to building it, i worked on it for about 3 hours on sat. and then took it with me to my house, this would be my first ever build on my home since i got married and had my son, he will be 4 soon, so i wanted him to watch the work that has to done assembling these cars, so in the future he will build his own, i worked about 6 more hours, bringing a total of 10 build hours give or take a few breaks.

Ok the tech,
JIA's rear suspension mod
Novak Goat system
Tp 945mg
Eritex solid comp 2.2 wheels(to lazy to build the wheels and tires)
Badlands 2.2 m3 compound
Proline 'wacker body(the tamiya body is too nice for me not to take time painting it)
Futaba 2 ch am radio(don't want use my spektrum still)

Pics of the build nothing special, i will try and get some vid later on

Looks good yo!

How wide do the Ericksons, I mean Eritex wheels put you at? And are they the Axial version? Heck, I guess I could put mine on my truck, but... meh.

Yo Corey, you got me beat by a week, on the wheels i am sure only that these were the blems Gerame had on sale(never actually saw the defect), width is at 10 1/4" sidewall to sidewall on the 2.2 badlands with kreepy reds.
On another news my front driveshaft lasted a total of 15 minutes before being twisted of by the power of the Goat and 7 cells 4.4 mah maxamps pack, i guess i have to see what driveshaft fits in there, also i have a collapsed rear shock(leaking already)

Thanks man. The leak might be due to a little over filling. Let em leak for a bit and just keep wiping em clean. Easier than anything else.

Check out your rear shock! You have the torsion bars in there or no?

EeePee btw i forgot to metion that i went with the 2 hole valve piece on the shocks, maybe that's why it feels so top heavy? i will either put in 100wt oil to control the flow or go back to one hole valve.
Oh yeah check out the last pic, notice anything funky in the rear suspension?

Edit; no torsion bar and you beat me to the post as i was writing, i am a slow writer

Put the torsion bar in the back at the very least.

I swapped all my springs front to rear, but I run lightweight stuff. Maybe you could put the heavier front spring in the left rear and run the softer rear spring up front on the driver's side. So swap the driver's side springs. But at the very least put one of the torsion bars in the back.

The last spare shaft has died a horrible death, i will install the traxxas units tomorrow, you can see in the last pic that the tamiya one is beefier on the ball joint part, but the plastic is much softer than the traxxas ones.

Running 90 wt oil and the thick sway in the rear. Got rid of my torque twist and such.

I just put the gold sway bar in the rear(no bending on this one EP) luckily i had only bent the other one, i put 100wt oil on the rear shock with the torque twist problem and went with a one hole piston in that shock, i also put 90wt oil on the other 3 shocks but left the 2 hole psiton on them, i will go for a test drive later on an post a vid to see if the problem was solved.

I love this combo
