Hello all. I'm new here and would like to introduce myself and share some pictures of my new CR-01. The build went pretty smoothly with the exception of the mistake in the manual which tells you to install the rear shocks in such a way that will limit the rear suspension travel way too much. I fixed it as per the tips I found on this site and all is well! I just have to paint the body now and will be set. I'm very happy with this kit. It is stock for now. I've uploaded some pics here: http://s122.photobucket.com/albums/o...0FJ40%20CR-01/

Thanks. I was "crawling" my children's slide. I built it with gear I had on hand. It's the first RC I've built in some time. Now that I'm back in the game, I plan to add a Novak brushless setup and a worthy steering servo. I'd like to get the aluminum shocks Tamiya has announced as well. These, mostly for show of course. I've got a couple of other Tamiya kits that I need to build but that's another story

Thanks. I'm gonna try and paint the body this week. I haven't found all the colors I need a the LHS. I think I'm going to have to order online.

I've added new photos to the album on photobucket. They are of the CR-01 w/ the painted body on it.

Tamiya did a great job on the kit, I had the opportunity to drive one and it was impressive for being right out of the box.
