Default CR-01 in Colo. Spgs!

Hey guys. New to the board here. Just finished my CR-01 and will have one body painted in a few days. Will post pics asap. I've had a blast getting back into rc with this truck. I've been crawling at Palmer Park and Garden of the Gods. Anyone here in the Springs recommend other spots or maybe have a meet up?

UGHH!!! In my haste to get paint done ( I'm using Spazstix color shift which I have used to great success in the past), I forgot to wipe my hand prints from inside the shell after laying masking down. Needless to say, I have a terrifically horibble color shifting mess! That's ok as this was on my bashing body. Lesson learned, don't try and hurry things at 2am! I'll post pics of the Tamiya FJ body whenever I get that done ( minus my grubby paw prints!).

Ok, so I have a Bushwacker body and the kit FJ-40, but I want to try something else. I'm asking you guys if you think I should do a HiLux or a Bronco body?

HPI Bronco fits perfect if you remove the front bumper, check the picture thread pinned at the top of the forum for mine.

Got out of work and it was still a gorgeous day. Grabbed the CR-01 and headed to the park.

Nice looking rig theibault I like the green! There are a few of us in the springs that run comp rigs and scalers around PP and GOG. Feel free to shoot me a PM anytime you are headed out. Also look for posts in the colorado forum we have a few gtg's. Hope to see your rig out on the trails sometime.

Ok, so after the previous Spaz Stix debacle, I thought I'd get it right. Here are some pics. Tell me what you think.

It's amazing how many good spots there are. Since I got into crawling, all I do when I drive now is notice sweet spots! I may be losing my mind!

Ok, had the day off and it was glorious! So naturally, I headed out for some fun and took the video camera with me. This is the second video I have made, and it's much better than the first. I really need to meet up with some Springs crawlers so someone can drive my rig. All these static shots make me feel like Kevin Smith! Please tell me what you think.

Where were you crawling at today? Was that Palmer Park? Looks like you had fun, although you missed some great XRRA races!
