From the Land of Sky Blue Waters... No, I'm not talking about Hamms beer. The weather finally cleared, after our MNRCRC comp I was able to take some pictures, enjoy. http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...tHartman/4.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...tHartman/2.jpg http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...tHartman/3.jpg |
How do you like it with out the cannie setup? |

As far as I'm concerned, that's the first "must have" mod. |
color looks pretty good on there "thumbsup" I'm running the cant's and am surprised I actually like it. Did you try it, or just build it without? |
|
looks good. like the wheels |
I saw this rig in person today and the pictures are fabulous but it still looks better in person. Nice job Sarge you got a special touch with your builds "thumbsup" |
Very nice. what shocks are those and got any pics of the shock relocation? again very nice and thanks |
Locks really good, I went with the same color scheme. Do you have any body off shots I want to see non-cantee setup. |

I'm surprised no one noticed these... http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...artman/8-1.jpg |
I noticed the hubs, but why not use the ones that come with the wheels? Nice rig though, I love the blue. |
Yeah Chis it was great talking to you as well. I was really impressed with both your rigs I just don't find many builders with the patients, creativity and attention to detail that you have. "thumbsup" I have always aspired to build to your level and I may never get there. As far as the comps unfortunately my health is rather fragile (30 years of MS), you know how I'm always joking about my perfect weather standards? Unfortunately it's not a joke any kind of extremes don't work to well for me so I'm a "fair weather friend" so to speak. I like bashing days because then I can pick the conditions. Besides it's fun when you can run 4 or 5 packs and test out a bunch of stuff and there is always other people bashing at Taylors Falls. Love the CR-01 best one I've see. :-D |
Very clean - nice job on the details. Any info on those hubs? |
Ditto on the hubs... c'mon, spill it! Those are SIIIICK! |
Yep very nice. DId you try it with the cantilever? If yes, what's the differences that you notice? |
nice truck i like the color and the licence plate ohhh and the wheels |
Huge props on the body detail. Im ordering those Losi shocks now, and tell me how to do those hubs please ! |
Thanks for all of the complements; I’m happy with how this has turned out. Cantilever shocks: The linkage had far too much slop allowing un-damped movement, which didn’t help the handling at all. Torque twist with the stock set-up was unacceptable. I also had problems with the stock shocks leaking, so they had to go. Hubs: They are from Toyranosaur with Rogue Element Components, yes they are F**king incredible. They work perfectly with the RPP wheels (probably any wheel for that matter). http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...tHartman/7.jpg Yes, it's full of hidden details... |
