Spektrum DX3.0 Tx, Novak Rooster Crawler ESC, stock motor. But I just bought a CR-Tuned 35T motor from Jason's store on eBay today! Can't wait for that to arrive and see how it works out. Yeah, CT has a crapload of places to crawl. There's an indoor place now since Pin Shop Hobbies has made one at their shop. |
 My goodness those are some fantastic shots. Your camera work is certainly something to be proud of. As for the truck, that too is great. I really do love these old school truck bodies. Awesome work and keep it up. It’s certainly an inspiration for the new guys like myself to this hobby. "thumbsup" |
Thanks! Honestly, this rig looks plain and bone stock compared to the fantastic stuff others have done to theirs in this forum. I'm looking up to theirs for my inspiration:lol: |
Well, my CR-01 should be arriving shortly, so have been looking at all the pics of the various things guys have done with their rigs. i like to keep things simple and really keen on keeping to scale. i will certainly be keeping an eye on this thread. pity i dont have access to the kinda parts you guys have over seas. :-( anyways, keep it up man. "thumbsup" looking forward to more pics and updates;-) |
You have access to eBay? If so you can find reputable retailers there to get pretty much anything. I picked up the CR-Tuned motor on eBay and its coming from Japan since its not available here yet. |
Ye, do have access to Ebay, only prob is our exchange rate and shipping costs make matters rather costly. will have a browse around there and see what i can find. |
Also Tower Hobbies ships internationally |
Awesome images! Very clear and colours are good "thumbsup" You've got some good crawling places there :-) |
Secret crawl spot down the street from my place. Bottom floor of a garage so its nice and dry all the time. Its got lots of gaps and cracks that take a good amount of power to overcome because of the nature of the rocks just thrown on the embankment. After driving on this for about 45 minutes straight the Rooster Crawler ESC shut down from thermal overload. I don't run a fan though I bought one on Monday after this happened. Excuse some of the fuzzy shots, I was shooting handheld balancing on rocks on a hill with no flash in the shade:) http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...r/DSC_9824.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...r/DSC_9820.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...r/DSC_9819.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...r/DSC_9818.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...r/DSC_9828.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...r/DSC_9833.jpg |
Great shots....how do you like your bent links? |
They've worked out great. Definitely haven't hindered any performance. Like I said, the only problem I've had lately is the overheating ESC. We'll see what the fan does for me. Also going to break out the soldering iron and finally upgrade all the connections. |
Nice shots! "thumbsup" How'd you remove the blue anodizing from the 3racing bent links? |
|
nice looking truck nice camera shots |

Carlos46: I love the tags you made. What type of paper did you print them on? |
I noticed the mailman left a treat on my doorstep when I got home from work this afternoon. Can't wait to see how it does on the rocks http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...r/DSC_9837.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...r/DSC_9836.jpg |
