| Jeep Rubicon CR-01
I've owned my CR01 a little over 2 years now. I've done alot to it in that time so I figured I'd post up finally. Here it was in the beginning all prettied up Then I solved that problem. |

Next, I lengthened the wheelbase to finally fit the Rubicon body like I always wanted. I killed the super rooster and 645 servo from all the mud and water running I did. So at this point I have a Traxxas esc from my Slash and one of their waterproof servos. Axial beadlocks and losi claws rounded out this stage. Here is the aluminum extension I built so I could keep the cantilevers with the longer wheelbase. Short barrel springs |

Stang Killa's TJ Grille is what really sparked this next set of mods. First the grille made me want to get a winch. If I had a winch I had to have a bumper right? So I tried my hand at bending some sheet metal and brazing it together. I've always wanted a stinger and grill hoop so I added that next. Then I made my own extra thick tow points with d-ring shackles and King Kong hook from RC4wd. The lights are all from the Axial light bucket set and wired up with 5mm LED's I picked up from Radio Shack. Oh and those sweet Warn decals too! Here's pics Here is how I mounted the TJ grille and the Axial light bucket I used for headlights. You can also see how the front bumper is attached to the chassis. |

Rear bumper & spare tire carrier. Yes, it does swing out. 3mm screws keep it secure. Notice the receiver hitch I built and the D-Ring shackle that goes into it. The Hitch is brazed to the bumper and the D-Ring assembly is drilled and tapped for 3mm screws to hold it in. naked shot |

Lastly I built rock sliders using 1/4" square steel rod. Notice the beefy Maxx shafts here. It's a side step too. Flexing it out. These pics were taken before I built the sliders but it seemed like a good idea to put these here. Overall shots |

Last weekend I took it out to test the new armor and winch. Had a great time meeting up with some local crawlers. All the new parts held up pretty well! No breakage! These are all the pics I got of my rig. I was too busy driving to remember to snap more. That's it for now! Let me know what you all think. |

Wow! Great pics and nice job with the Rubi! Nice tow points and the bumpers look good. I'd like to get my hands on the new Jeep Rubicon Pro-Line body that's supposed to come out..... Last edited by 1SweetRide; 06-08-2010 at 06:41 AM. |

That is a nice looking scaler, I like the progression from stock to your current setup.

Even if I am a toyota lover, I love the looks of that rubicon. It's very nice with all the accessories. I love the cr-01, don't understand why people don't love them for scalers.

Third pic from bottom. I thought it was some kind of Willys pickup but it's an old Toyota, pretty cool!
