Default Wrangler arrived.

Cool stuff. The wheels/tires are pre-assembled as is the planetary transmission.

Light kit is included.

The body has a new rear bumper that's like a Warn bumper.

Also includes a Hi-lift jack that's actually flexible so it won't break. It's on the L parts tree, part number 9115238.

Nice. What do you think that parts tree will retail for? Can't wait to see your rig finished.

Love how the rear bumper partially covers the body mounts. So the body is essentially the same as the OG version? Any differences at all?

No idea what they will sell for. Hopefully they'll be included in the body kits.

As far as I can tell it's the same. I haven't seen an OG body since I sold mine about 6-7 years ago.

Your production CR-01 wrangler doesn't have DVD inside?

Maybe that is just for other region release

Is the hi-lift jack made out of polycarbonate it looks like it in the picture but then you mentioned its flexible it definitely does not look like its made out of plastic. maybe some type of acrylic?

Jason:

I am curious what the front bumper is like on the new (old) body? The cr-01 kit shows the front bumper cut down on each side, while the original body (58141) was a full length bumper. Can you tell us what the new body actually has for a front bumper?

Thanks,
Keith

Tower "discontinues" a lot of Tamiya parts, especially things that don't sell. If it's discontinued on Tower, the best thing to do is to get the part number from the upper right corner and search Tamiya's site. It'll tell you there if it's truly discontinued or if Tower just dropped it because they didn't sell enough.
