Default spur gear

i have managed to break a few link ends on my cr01, and was wondering if anyone has found any that are like a direct replacement to the stock ones, or tamiya ends that i could possibly buy in bulk, cuz im going to need em!! i dont want to have to buy the parts tree that has the ends on em if i dont have to........thanks
now onto the next ?, anyone know if there are there any replaceable spur gears that would work good or no?

How have you broken them? I've stripped the inside of one of my Tamiya straight links. The end just pulled out when it was articulating then it wouldnt thread and hold so i superglued it and it held for a short time until I got new links. But in any case, you could try the aluminum links that rcchannel has here

Yes you can buy the stock link ends in bulk:

While I was at the LHS looking at stuff I noticed that the Tamiya bent links for the CR-01 come with greyish-black link ends, those might be more durable than the stock ones in the pic above

i installed a revenge of the monster 27t motor with a 21 tooth pinion, and trust me, it aint too hard to break them with that little extra wheelspeed. thanks for the responses

I have also broken a few on them because i built a Formula Offroad with CR-01 axles and links. I have a 5700kv motor on 11.1 v so its fast I then changed to traxxas ends and they seems to hold up fine.

The black link ends are much stronger than the grey ones that come with the bent links.

i looked through my boxes here and didnt have any.

glad to see the old rig still tearing up shit.

if it keeps tearing them up you might be able to switch to traxxas rod ends.
they are a little more flexible than the tamiya, and tend to not snap as quickly.
oh... and um......

Default Body posts

i know someone will prolly know where exactly to get sum but i dont ever seem to have much luck when searching for parts i need. but i need the rear body posts for the cr01, and the only thing i can find is the whole parts tree, and i dont want or need the extra bumper an other little parts it comes with. and i would prefer plastic as they are prolly cheaper, thanks

Just buy the whole parts tree, I don't think you have any other choice. I myself bought one just for the shorter front mounts. Didn't want to cut the rear mounts to fit my Unimog shell

The problem with those alloy link ends is that you might end up breaking more expensive and hard to replace parts. The stress has to go somewhere, and instead of breaking or flexing the plastic link ends, you might break the plastic parts where the links attach to (servo bed, chassis side plates, axle mounts)
