I actually took mine out for the first time today since adding the short barrel springs, the lower CG makes a huge difference.

Nice video

Hi 860Crawler,

I'm a fan of your "Adventure on the log" thread.
I like those pictures very much.

But for instance, I think changing the stock tires and springs will give the biggest improvement especially you have a high CoG at the top.

Well.... I'm very tempted to add LEDs to the light bar..... but the high CoG is a real penalty.....hmm.....

Are you using the 3racing LEDs unit? I put it at the top of the body inside. Fortunately they make it very light and it didn't affect the CoG that much.

Thanks!

I need to change to short barrel springs like yours to bring mine down some more. I added more weight to the wheels to counter act the roof rack and accessories. I am using Tamiya TLU-01 to control the LED and Tamiya 3mm LED in the light bar. I did attach the control and wire to the underside of the roof. The body is pretty heavy now, but I just like how it looks.

I've seen you and your truck before!

We meet when you were walking out Linda Vista and I was on my way in. Your truck is performing well! I'll be out there this Saturday. I'll show you a new line that will have you frustrated

DT, I see that you are in Cupertino (I'm in San Jose). Where is that spot that you are crawling at in the video?

That place is Linda Vista Park in Cupertino. It has a few crawling spots there but nothing spectacular compares to Gen Tech or Bean Hollow.

I'm always looking for crawling spots near by (within 10 minutes of driving) by coudn't find any. If you know of any, please PM me when you get a chance.

thx
