lol yea yellow was nice but the tires chewed alot of the paint off around the rear area so i gave it a quick spray in matt black.
thats the bashing body now.

new one arrived yesterday, im having trouble deciding on which colour to paint it.

also some tuning on the losi 4" coilovers over the weekend brought some nice gains.. pics up later. Peace

I also thought the yellow body was cool and looked great. But then I also know about how easy it is for our pride-an-joy to get beat up when it is on the trails. That is why I am now working a Unimog body for my CR01.

Good job and keep up the good work.

something ive noticed on here in regards to counteracting the torque twist by shifting the rear center, lower lateral rods to the upper of the servo mounting plate.
question is how would this resolve the problem?
is it a try and see answer?
any more info??

update,
shifted the rear cnter mounts to the upper of the servo bed and yes torque twist under load was reduced. :-P got around to fitting the billet front shock mounts too.

pics:

bonus about working in avionics is we have endless acess to little bits and peices which are perfect for rc stuff.

also go onto amain hobbies again today and ordered a set of 2.2 flatirons with proline beadlocks, now just have to track down some tire weights.
thinking 8oz/front and 4oz/rear? sound good?

So, did you get rid of torque twist yet?

As you're still using the stock shafts, I think you might find taht the shaft angle at full suspension travel (rear) is too tight and the shaft may even lock up.

Perth RC in Stirling street has a large assortment of tires for crawlers of which I found the Panther tires with memory foams quite good.

One good testing ground I found in Perth for my CR01 is the Kings Park women's memorial stairway where you have the sides made of boulders. I think if you make it all the way to the top on either side without going on the stairs or on the mulch you're doing well.

Perth RC has a large assortment of Losi in stock. Not everything you want but worth a try. I bought mine on ebay when I checked with them and realised the price difference.

Be advised though the lower ball joint on the shocks has an imperial size hole which is marginally smaller than a 3mm screw, so you have to sand down the screw a fraction to make it fit. Changing the ball end is a much more involved enterprise than it seems at first sight. Sanding down the screw will not compromise at all its thread as you only need to remove about .1mm of the diameter. Of course, you have to make sure you don't lose the screws then.

Ouch! 100$! At least I hope that's not american bucks! That's more expensive than Perth RC!
Get on to ebay man!

Further about torque twist. Are you still using the stock silver can?
