Default cr-01 build

Just recently built a tamiya cr-01,when i push the truck on the floor manually, it will not freely roll on it's own. there is no electronics asside from the motor installed, is this normal? I don't want to burn out the motor or speed control, any help would be appreciated.

Yes it's normal, you're fighting the magnets in the motor. Take the motor out and then see what it does.

Definately check the spur and pinion mesh. If its even just a little too tight, it will make the driveline incredibly hard to turn over.
