It should definitely drive a little better with the added lead weight. If you want more weight, you could put more inside the tires if you haven't already. The Unimog looks good, Sven. |

Hey Sven, nice looking Unimog body. And like the others have posted, better tires will help your Mog crawl much better and a little bit of weight in the front tires helps even more. Good luck and keep at it. Carl |

@FuriousCal Thank you, a man without Unimog is only a half man! Get one .Unimog is an abbreviation for the German word (universal motor device). For all that it still didn't know |

Do you have any other recommended performance upgrades besides tires and adding weight to the front? I'm teetering on getting either one of these or one of the Bronco's - I don't really like the body of the Bronco, but it looks like it comes w/better tires. Danke, Shredder | |

| New Body Hello I've long not reported. For me has done ene quantity. I got me a new body, orange has not liked me. Have they now painted green. I have my tires filled with 80 grams of lead. For the loading area, I've built myself a tarp. And a carrier for the roof. Everything yourself soldered with brass. The plan I have to revise views is not as perfect as I want them. But see for yourself .....Nice greetings from Germany |

The Cliff Crawler tires from the Bronco are softer with better grip #54117. Or you can get the same Vise Crawler tires as you already have but in soft compound #54115. I have both, they perform really well. Cliff Crawler on Landcruiser Vise Crawler on Bronco |

I always had such a problem with the lighting cables, was kind of shit ever. Since I made the body from the inside completely black, I eventually came up with the idea of the cable tie executed using hot glue. And because of what Steinel available in black, I tried it immediately. Is a great art, all-solid mess without cables. The super hot glue sticks firmly and is still quite flexible, even in the cold now that I had before so my doubts. Even shrubs can not be any longer so easy to get caught. So now I've only just the battery cable to dangle around in there ........ look at this |

thats a nice installation. I only have tape holing my wires in place, but I put the TLU-01 up under the roof so it is high out of the way from water and anything that might get caught on a wire.

Nice Unimog and welcome to the site. There is a lot of helpful information here and a bunch of great guys over here. The CR-01 is a fun build. I enjoyed mine so much that I might buy a second one.

Hi Nick Yes, under the roof, it is also good. I have thought so too. But I would not be able to see through the windows TLU 01. If you're going so deep under water, why did not submarine? Fun. your models are verry nice. How many colors do much work. Honestly, I'm a Varnishers! You have done very well, very clean work. |
