| My conclusion on switching over to springs from cantilever
After crawling with some friends I realized that their Axails were lower to the ground and had better stability on side hills and up hills. My CR-01 was extar top heavy wasn't very sure footed. My original articulation was nice but it was worth giving some. In the end I lost about 1/2" ground clearance and some articulation(not too much)but I think it was well worth it to get more stability in the other areas. I also weighted my front wheels and pulled the foam out.

| Ahhh, I thought you were over there checking out my tires a bit to much!!! yeah man, lets see pics...so I take it you put shocks on it?? you know looking at your chassis (first time I saw a CR01) it needs a different chassis for sure...lots of weight. was a good time, now....on with the pics..... we'll wait.. |

wow, no foams, what does the tire look like now? Must look like you riding on 5 psi. You still might need some support, don't the tires just fold over now on side hills?

| I took my cantilevers off all together. And replaced the white springs with a set of black springs from the front shock off a rustler. And no shocks. Works well for me. |

Weight is a good qu? Also, what thickness are your shock spacers? They're sitting nicely almost vertical, does it affect your articulation at all? |

in my trailrigs i dont run much wieght 3-4 oz or even none..in a crawling rig 6-8 oz..per front wheel the spacers are 3mm or maybee 1/8th'..it still articulates enough, pretty good aqctually..its a trailrig so not really looking for crawler type articulation |

I put 9oz in each front and it was too front heavy, if I stopped on a steep downhill climb it would nearly go end over so I added 6oz to each rear and its fine now.

Thx, Im running unweighted at the moment, will be adding strip lead as soon as I can motivate myself to pull the wheels down. |
