Default ... just fitted a Jun Fac front skid plate on my CR-01

It's really great looking and effective - in particular reaching down to protect front-to-bottom impacts on the front diff.

Those look pretty good. I don't know if I need one now. My front and rear axles are pretty much rounded smooth from so much use, no more little ridge on the base of either axle so they slide over rocks better than when they were new.

Yes the JunFac ones look nice, but they do have a habit of hanging up on rocks, if you reverse or slip backwards. For the same reason you shouldn't use them on the rear axle (some of us tried that and regretted it).

i know this is an old thread.

has anyone tried replacing the 5mm spacer to a shorter one to prevent hangups on rocks?

Sounds like a simple solution. Just have to make sure your steeling linkages still clear the plate

I have the skid and drive shafts from junfac, also the suspension, stearing kit. I love their products. They work well and are good quality. I would recomend you buy them.

3 racing drive shafts are shite.. Junfac are super strong I use the drive shafts that i bought for my CR-01 on my axial comper and handle the stress flawlessly.
