| New Tamiya FJ Cruiser Body Hey everyone. Just read about a new CC01 kit coming out from Tamiya - the FJ Cruiser (kit #5858. Doubt it will wind up as a CR01 kit, but at least the body will be available. I'm sure it will have the same wheelbase as all the other CC01 bodies that don't quite fit the CR01, but oh well... Interesting to note that it is polycarbonate, so it should have good durability. Of course, being a Tamiya body, the detail looks very good. Maybe save some folks trying to track down a New Bright body... |

I tried to line up my fj body with my cr chassis. Wheelbase is pretty close... Not perfect but much closer compared to the unimog and fj40. But i will have to remove the bumper and make new holes to fit the cr chassis. I'm already thinking about purchasing a new fj body for this... The fjc body is wider than the unimog, it will look better if i set it lower on the chassis but will sacrifice some articulation... Hmmm... Interesting to "convert" the cr to a jacked up cross country rig |
