Default CR01 on 1.9's?

Hi everyone.

Sorry if this has been raised before, but I am wondering if you can use 1.9 wheels and tyres with a CR01?

In the past I have lowered mine by using a droop set up, it looked a lot more scale, but the 2.2's just seemed too big.

Am I right in thinking that there could be problems with the width of the axles and the wheel base when running 1.9's?

Thanks
Tim.

it can be done. There are some old threads from a year or two ago with some pretty nice CR on 1.9s

Mine sometimes runs on 1.9s - makes a difference what shell is fitted though. Looks better with Landy shell on than my FJ40, without major mods.

@860Crawler. Thanks, will have a look at some of the older threads.

@Danf1275. That is STUNNING. Do you mind if I ask where you got the shell?

Cheers.

Shell is off Ebay - extremely good quality, just needs mounting and painting - even includes interior if you want to fit it.

i have some 1.9 tyres waiting for the 1.9 beadlocks on the way, will post pics in this thread when i mount them up. thinking of running a droop set up, as tim said, looks more scale.

after popping the 1.9's on the CR-01, even with the full droop setup (no springs) i still think the chassis can look more scale. seeing carlos' rig really inspired me, so i think i might copy his way of dropping the rails down, great job carlos.

to cydog510...
OK man, go for it.
But I must say that this adjustment is not my idea.
I was inspired by Diagoro.

What kind of wheels are on your Yota? They are perfect.

axial 1.9's. i hade to oven cleaner off the green anodized beadlock rings, paint the wheel and ring, then switch the outer thick ring with the les toy looking slimmer inner ring. i think they look good!
