Default My new CR-01 Landcruiser

Hi,
I just wanted to share some pictures and thoughts on my new CR-01.
I bought this car used, and the previous owner installed many junfac upgrades. But my main concern is the front suspension. It is as the stock one but he used the zero spring in the cantilever and the zero shock. On the back it is set like a normaly modified suspension. Could this work fine? I haven't tested this crawler on the rocks yet but the previos owner told me that it performed very nicely as it was set. Suggestions.

All I have to say is those Team Zero springs are rock hard. I didn't have any success with them, too stiff.

Not sure why the PO did cantilever in front and coilover in back. I haven't seen that before.

well the zero shock can be bought from junfac. I personaly am not such an expert to "feel" a shock over another, but it does work well in my opinion. I just have to change the motor, since the one I installed is a 27 and has much speed but very low torque.

I had a set of the G-made zero shocks. They look great! but are hard as crap. What you need to do to help (a little) is change to the 3-hole piston and go with the lightest weight oil you can find. This will soften them up. at least where they are managable. Do even try to find soft springs that fit. I looked for months. The only springs that match them in diameter and length are gas truggy springs and those are too hard as well. Great looking CR-01 though!

The 104mm or shorter will work the best for this truck. I have 104mm but I have them in the cantilever setup and I tossed the springs. Probably for a coilover set up 96mm or whatever in that range would work the best.
