cr01 axles on leafs

Has no one tried to put leaf springs on Cr01 axles??!

I've never seen it myself m8. Could be done I would imagine with a few well placed holes, but with F350's axles being nearly the same width and made for leafs right out of the box, probalby why no one has tried.

The leaf mounts might bolt right to the servo bed thingie....I happen to have both laying around, I could try it out and let you know.

Here you go...it can be done, and rather easily. Using the mount blocks and leafs from a highlift kit, it almost bolts right on. Using the inner holes, the spacing of the leafs is identical to a HL axle. The only mod needed is the hole spacing of the 2 screws that hold the assembly to the axle don't quite match up. A bit of work with a drill or dremel and it should bolt right up.

What sort of project are you thinking about with leaf springs on a CR01? Should be quite an interesting project, except, I can't see you being able to use the original CR01 chassis. Due to the design of the rails, It doesn't really lend itself to being a good scale chassis. And the leaf springs will limit the articulation on the CR01 by a huge amount.

Still sounds intriguing though...
