Nope. Your only upgrade option is the reinforced shafts from Tamiya.

Madness!!

You would have thought that someone would have released steering CVs for the CR01, you can get them for just about every other truck out there!

A big fat no!! I had a 2.2 Comp rig based on a CR01 i ran down here in Australia againts Axials and Losi's. It was ok, but its biggest let down was the steering. I filled the Knuckles, Filled the edges of the Cs used a good quality Hitec servo and got the maxium i could, just wouldnt steer, so in the end it got to the point it couldnt compete against teh Axials and Losis due to lack off steering.

In Japan there is a mob called YSS crawlers i think, they did some trickey stuff with all Tamiya based rigs. I beleieve there was mod that coulld be done with TLT axels but the Google translation from Japanease to English wasnt the best at explaining it. You could look there, you may have better luck than me.

The only other thing would be to drill out the drive cups the dog bones go into to get a little more angle out of the steering. Just dont take out to much or your dog bones will pop.

Or try and find an RC TRAX CR-01 dig unit. I got mine from JR-RC on fleabay. I know its not a CVD solution but it will help with steering.
