Locally we get a 23 kg servo called " king max" and I run that without a servo saver. Works great for me. All metal geared and ball bearing.

The savox servo is very good, the servo I got was a cheap one. R250 about about $30. Savox servos here cot about R900.

Are you going to make it 4ws?

I can recommend the Tamiya CC01 kit. It is probably one of the best all round kits from Tamiya. Not badly priced either.

CC-01 is a great scale kit, i LOVE my CR-01, just installed the hardened lock axles and it makes a helluva difference!

really good! a bit pricey, but it takes the slop outta the axles, plus getting in there through the 20 odd nuts and bolts is a bit of a b@tch. i installed the reinforced wheel axles as well, hoping for a more solid hold.

I second that - the upgraded lockers are pricey, but really took the slop out of the axle. My axle lock pin holes were starting to round a bit and I had some play between the wheels.

Just started rebuilding my 2 CR's.....man, lots of screws!! Fun to wrench on though imo.

I've got a set of those hardened axle on the way from Hong Kong. Read good reviews about them.

as for the lock axles, if you're hesitant, i would suggest buying one and installing it on the rear like i did before committing to both sets.
