Default Tested and modified Unimog

Hey All,

I'm a new member on the forum, but I have been using it. It is quite helpful. Anyway, I've had my CR01 since February and thought I'd share some pics of what I've done. Lost the canti's, G-Transition shocks, custom upper and lower shock mounts, some RC4WD tires, MIR ENG wheels, 8oz in front and 4oz in rear, Savox servo, Airtronics MT-4 Radio and receiver (and no, I won't hook up the telemetry on this truck, even though it would be neat), Tekin FX-R, and Novak 55T. And every link has been moved at least 9 times....Its fun to tinker and try. And I've beat the holy living tar out of it. Oh yeah, heavy duty axle kit up front too, I'll replace the rear if/when it breaks.

And then I'm thinking of a RC10T4 for my next body....this is one I am currently using on my T3. I dropped the body mounts to see what it would look like. Any thoughts are appreciated.

T3 body doesn't look too bad. Good looking CR, they are a lot of fun to tinker with

I like a nice scale body for the CR, like OSRC said they are a lot of fun to tinker with also a pretty complex truck and deserves a nice body!

So I did a bit of looking and decided to go with the Proline '92 Cherokee body. Good advise on keeping it more scale.

I'm going to drive it like this for a while. I just got in a new set of Losi 2.2 Rock Claws, they're almost the exact same height as the stock Tamiya tires. And with the current setup at full flex, the tires miss the body by about 1/8" on the fender wells.

Some action shots from yesterday.

Yes, the 2.2 wheels and tire set up is your best. Looks good on the rocks.

The Losi tires will completely change the rig. Took my first run over the weekend with a new set of Ripsaw's and the difference was night and day. Walked over stuff I never even considered before.

So, I've got the Losi Rock Claws on a new set of Axial Rocker wheels. This thing is ridiculous now. As far as crawling is concerned.
