I've had really good success with these: Pro-Line Chisel Tires 1149 for Rock Crawler
You may also want to look into different wheels, the beadlocks were stripping very easily on my stock CR wheels.

I like the Losi Claws - thought about the Chisel's but got the Claws for a good price.

I'm using the super swampers and really like them.

Flat irons here. I'm happy with them. factor in the outside diameter. the cr01 is top heavy to start. I put roklox on mine & I liked them but it made it too difficult to keep it right side up. Flat irons are a lot smaller outside diameter than most RC4WD tires.

Are you looking to go bigger? or stay around the same size? All I know for sure is that you should definitely ditch the stock tires

+1 on those flat irons, they're a great rock tire and are around the same size.

When I want a more scale look I use Proline 2.2 super swampers on my crawler and when a little better climbing I run my 2.2 Hot Bodies Sedona's. Lately I just run the super swampers as they crawl and run trails well.

I'm looking to get a CR-01 and my plan is to use Proline 2.2 Super Swampers for my all around tire.

I loved the RC4WD 2.2" Mud Slingers I had one mine. They were the first mod I purchased and worked much better than the kit tires with a box-stock setup..

I've also ran 1.9" Flat Irons and they worked great. I'm now running 1.9" Pro-Line Swampers and they are probably the best tire I've had yet.

IMO, 2.2" tires are just too big for a scale look on the CR-01, especially the giant ones available now.

The swampers look really good and after seeing them here I think I will be going that direction here soon.
