| Work in progress: Mercedes-Benz GLK CR-01
Hey guys,im new here and quite fresh in RC too.I bought an second hand CR-01 that was only essambled and tested, everything stock with Bronco body. I have already upgraded the whole chassis quite alot with aluminum parts, and more will be upgraded in a comming months like new Tamiya crawler tuned motor, new alloy wheels from RC Amoeba with ProLine Interco tires and more. Right now im working on a new body wich is an Mercedes Benz GLK,there is still alot of stuff i will do to it so what you see on the pics is not yet finished. Here are some older pics before i swapped body. Plan was to get a Mercedes G-wagen body but its almoust impossible to get by so i settled down with the GLK. Here is new Mercedes body with rubber fenders i glued yestarday |

Welcome to the world of RC! Definitely a unique look - I've not seen that body before. I agree with you about the G-wagen - that would make a great body too. I am not sure if you know, but there is a company called KillerBody RC that makes a G-wagen clone called the horri-bull. I suspect they don't call it a G-wagen just to avoid having to pay licensing fees to Mercedes!!! It comes pre-painted in a variety of colours, but the part number for the clear body is 48331. I'm sure you could easily add a few touches (like Mercedes emblems) to make it look more like a real G-wagen. Check it out if you haven't already. I hope that helps! |

No,i got it from some spanish website, they made in rubber and i just trimmed them and glued them to the car. Here is the place where i bought them, usually fenders are very costly, these were quite cheap if you ask me. ROUND FENDER (set of 4) - Scale Designs International |

I've got one of those Nikko bodies.. I'll be putting it up soon, but it is not going to be cheap.
