Default New Member of the S-10 Club. And Some Questions.

got the s-10 from tower today! did some searching here and have a couple of questions-

can you switch the front and rear diffs?

i plan on putting a winch on it. could those of you with winches on your s-10 please post a pic of it?

any other out of the box mods you recommend?

thanks in advance, and i will post pics of my s-10 when it is finished!

I would try to find a set of CVD's for the locked diff, 2 sets if both diffs are going to be locked.

Here's a link to Tower's ad. They're discontinued through them, but just to give you a visual.

If you put an extra washer on the ball diff tension bolt, you can almost lock it down without JB Weld. It'll act like a really tight limited slip.

Sorry, I don't.

There's a shoulder bolt that holds the ball diff assembly together. If you put a flat washer on the bolt before you screw it into diff, it stops the shoulder bolt from bottoming out. Which allows you to tighten it up and slow the diff action down, by putting more pressure on the balls. :-P
