Default Brother TLT's **NEW TUBE & PRP PICS 6-29**

Hey guys, my brother and I have been soaking up all the info for a while and built ourselves a couple of TLT's! The both of us finally had them running at the same time so we had some fun. Check it out!

UPDATED PICS, 6-29-05 (SEE PAGE 3)

TLT's (OLD PICS)

Mine Rock pleazer up close

My brothers Rubicon

Im very pleased with what we have gotten the stock chassis to do. And of course the tranny is a problem, the occasional slipping is horrible! Im working on a design for a chassis as we speak so hopefully I have time to follow through with it. I will get more specs up, and shots of the chassis setup soon. Thanks for looking, opinions welcome!

Thanks for all the compliments guys! I will try to get some pics with the bodies off today.

Im also thinking about taking out the lathe motor and putting a stock motor or something with more rpm to see if I can throw a bigger roost That lathe motor just doesnt have the wheelspin for the sand, but it is incredible on the rocks!

Try some 23T singles like I did. Enough speed when you want it and still enough torque for climbing.

Pics of the Chassis!! The Max climber chassis is the Rock Pleazer. The CF chassis is the Rubicon (my younger bro)

Progress on the designing of a new chassis was scratched. I decided to order a pair of Bulu 2's

Anyways on with the pics:

As I said before im very happy with the performance that we have gotten out of these chassis. I cant wait for the Bulu though!!

I noticed the CF one is running dog bones for driveshafts. Which ones are those, and what is the WB of that truck?

I think its about 11 1/2" wheelbase. The dogbones are from a HPI MT2. they fit well in the diff, but the the axle end need to be grinded down somewhat to fit smoothly.

where's the tube pics man? The Rubicon looks good with that bumper but I think you should flat fender it like this. It'll look a lot better IMO. I dig the bumper though

Ya I didnt post them... He said he wanted to wait until he had more of it done. I will get them up. Right now he isnt sure what he is doing with the body because he might cut it up and mount it on the frame like old ralph But you are right the front does look much better like that!

hey, how do the ball cups on the links work out? do they pop off or are they pretty secure?

i've thought many times about doing the same and getting away from the usual captured ballend, it would make taking the axles off a breeze.

They work great, my brother did it first and I was very skeptical as well. Untill i saw him taking jumps with it and the links bent before the ball cups ever popped off. We have had no trouble at all. Those are the RPM long cups and at first they are stiff and rough but they loosen up a bit and work great. I can have my axles off in seconds with them its great!
