OH I see and here I thought you machined the stock parts to look like that XD I think my mext toy will run those shafts and Ill scrounge up a tranny somewhere. With all these tubers around I want to make one. Issue is the tools to do so. I saw Ralph was miged together. I fear I would make one and it would roll and break into a bunch of tubes. >_> |

This frame looks like crap from all the changes but I have three more completed except for the bottom plate. When I finish the test runs on this one everything will go over into a new frame. I use hi temp silver solder and a oxy acetaline, wrong spelling I know, rig. Works great. I tried the low temp sivler but it doesnt hold as well. |

Thanks Janoob Mikado I started with an oxy mapp gas rig from lowes and went through 3 bottles of oxy just at $8 per bottle on the first frame. I called the local welding supply company and rented both bottles for 12 per month and refilling both cost $47. Works out better for me with the larger bottles. Mind you I am starting off with tube frames then expanding things from there. So far I have built 6 mini b frames, a clod tuber still in the works and I have about 4 more frames on the drawing board. Just building one frame go with what you have. 3/16 brake line is the ticket |

The losi is finally mounted, new revo shafts in, changes made to the link and shock geometry and I am finally happy with it. The suspension is alot softer than it was before. The only shock change will be going to pink springs in the rear. They are a bit softer than the yellow. The radio will be reinstalled tomorrow and another test run. There is room to run a split battery pack configuration. It will be a tight fit but it can be done.

Well I started making the revised frames finally. Will post pics monday with the sidepanels and hood installed. On the battery situation several people have mentioned running mini t batteries. The will fit under the hood very easily. Still sorting out the price but it will be reasonable. Will start filling orders the week of july 18th For those who have already spoken up and for those who are interested lmk. |

Looking very nice..... Question - have you thought about a front stinger? Might help with people that do steep descents. Just a thought since you are going for a realistic looking crawler. Look forward to getting my hands on one. later, Ed |

Thanks Ed. I could add one if someone wanted one. Here are answers to a few questions I have recieved. Bottom plate is large enough for pede tranny. It is set up for 4 inch rear and 3 1/2 front shocks ie losi truck shocks. Associated buggy shocks will work but front axle articulation is limited with them. Frames will be offer in 4 ways. Frame painted your choice of colors and templates for panels. Frame with aluminum panels and hood painted your choice of colors. Painted frame, panels, hood and links. Painted frame, panels, hood, links and aluminum top link mounts. |

Thanks Jason, Yours will be delivered to you in Portland. Willroberts, I have to sit and figure time, materials and such. I will have it all sorted out after Portland. I figure, this is only a rough guess, painted frame around $140 full package around $260. |

looks pretty cool. The wedged sides should handle the jagged stuff better than the large, flat plate. |

The flat plate hung up on just about everything. To me the sloped sides take away a bit resembling the real thing but it made a big diffrence in crawling. I cant wait to get the new 7200 mill battery for it and see what kind of runtimes I get out of it if I can ever get time to start building mine. Trying my best to get my mini done and also a clod tuber for portland.

We have had alot going on lately so i havent been able to work on the tuber till today. Side panels and hood were done this morning then everything switched over to the new chassis including the 7200 mill ion battery pack from Fromeco. It took a while to get all the wiring sorted out and pretty much hidden. I like the battery it was extremely overkill but what the hell. I have 70 minutes runtime on it and have used only 1/3 of the pack. Drawback is 11 hour charge time. Tomorrow everything will be removed from the frame and it and the sidepanels will be painted. Here are a few pics. I also have video that i will get posted in the vid section tomorrow.
