Default first build - 69 charger tlt-1 tube frame

This is my first attempt ever at any kind of rc car/truck. I came accross a crawler on the net and decided I had to build one.

It was a TLT-1 then I tore it all apart and added a associated xxx tranny, stampede shafts, tube chassis made from brake line and nails mig'd together. I didnt like the cheesy blower that came with the HPI charger body so I stole my daughters "muscle machine" car and used its blower ass'y

next on the lst are some bead locks and some yokohama geolandar's for a nice scale look.

Geo's on a Charger scale? Okay. The paint turned out great. You should just look at the comp legal tubers on the site for ideas and build one. That way you dont have to run a body at all, just panels.

Yeah, originally I was going to make a tuber, but I'm a mopar fanatic and own a 66 charger, a 69 plymouth sattelite and an 05' Magnum R/T. In fact, parts of the frame on this rig are actually cut from a scrap body panel from a real 66 charger! So, the 69 body fits right in around here with all the other mopar madness. Besides I'm not in it for competition, just wanted something to bash around in the back yard while I'm taking a break from working on my cars. What I'd really like to find is a 70's era dodge truck body. Anyone know if one exists?

You might want to shorten the top links for better steering, the caster is way off the way it is now.I know the driveshaft angle you have is good but it needs to come off of the axle a bit closer to level and it will steer better.I almost bought aGeneral Lee body on ebay to use as a crawler so I think yours looks sweet
