I've read about it done on a tmaxx, but, you can buy the mattracks parts themselves for something like $15 from radioshack. I think adamf would be able to help you... I think that's his name on the RC boards.

looks like they will fit anything, the t-maxx and 1/10 scale trucks so don't see why it wouldnt fit the tlt.

the truck they come off of is 1/10 so it should fit

i went to rs and checked out about getting just the track assemblies, they are speacial ordered and just about $9 a track and $4.99 shipping

i did order and for a total of 39.87 shipped to the house by the end of this week, maybe early next week

there was a big deal about this early on. ramtech had to do a lot of fab and thinking to get those to work. so dont just think that they will bolt on. cuz i dont think that it has been done before so you will have to figure it out on your own. but hey when you are done then you can right a tutorial for the rest of us.

can you guys not see the pictures I posted, from what I remember they use either the standard radio shack hex or a crosspin, but they will fit with a little massaging

Re-read the thread. Go look at the actual truck and see how they are mounted. There is a little nub on the axle that slides into the mattracks that keep them from flipping over on themselves. This has to be replicated in order for them to work.

i know that i was going to have to figure out how to make a mount to stop them from flipping but the prolem i have is i have never seen a set of tracks off the truck, so once these things get here i will have a better understanding on what needs to be done

one of the reasons i want to do this is because i am having to make a set of axle extentions for my truck because even with the 1 set of bf axles i have it is still not wide enough to clear my suspesion setup
i need at least another 1/4" to clear so while im in the process of making the extentions i will figure out what i need to make the tracks fit

second reason is becuase i have not seen a tlt with them on it and i think it would look killer with them

the traacks finally have arrived
1 problem

they sent me 3 right sides and a left side
the paperwork that came with it was correct but whoever packed it up screwed up
oh well i can still work on getting them hooked up

from the way it looks, the axles they used on the truck are a little smaller than a #10 nut. the area where the axle slides in a locks into the hub is about an 1" long
wish i had a machine shop so i could replicate the mount that RS use to hold the assembly from flipping around, the way it looks i will need to make a link setup to attach it to the axle

so far just from setting the tracks in place of the tires there is a big clearence change
i was using 2.2 mashers and that gave the center senction of the axle a ground clearance of 1 1/4"
with the tracks it will be at 2 1/4"

1 downfall is that the track width is 1/4" thinner than the masher but the teeth of the track are very aggressive so, that might make up for it
