Default TLT-1 axle bearings?

Hey, I was wondering what size bearings the TLT axles use? And how many of each would I need to have full bearings in two axles?

The reason I ask is because I'm building a crawler using and agermarket chassis, and I don't want to buy bearings for the whole kit.

Thanks!

you will need 16 5x11 bearings.

2 in every knuckle and 4 inside each axle

Arrow

well 4X2+2X2+2X2 = 16
just buy 2 packs of duratrax 5X11s at tower unless you can source rubber shielded BBs.

what are you guys talking about? you need 20 of them 2 for the pinion gear on each axle 4 for the inside of each axle and 4 for the steering hubs of each axle.
so 4+4+2=10 and then double it so you can do the other axle. 10 +10 =20. lol

Correct, and if you buy the full bearing kit for the TLT that is what you get, the tranny in the TLT comes with bearings.

Oh yeah DUH forgot the other knuckle DARRR lol

With the tamiya set you get a set of BBs for the cantis too. The tamia set is metal shielded. Vs the Duratrax teflon shields. It depends on opinions which is better the teflon should protect from dirt more and roll better but are more prone to damage from say stuff getting hung up on the drive pins or what not.

I think he is refering to the rust and locking or fouling of BBs from silt and poor matinence.
Personaly the damage the olites do to the shafts and stuff the annoyance of cleaning BBs is worth the time spent.

There's an easy answer to this. It takes as many ball bearings as there are bushings you assembled it with.
