The torque of the Cobalt Puller will allow me to run a higher gear ratio while still being able to crawl well.

http://rc4wdstore.com/product_info.p...roducts_id=557 I am using these on my son's GC1 AX-10. I had to upgrade the drive shafts to maxx shafts once we went up in voltage and down on the gearing on his rig. The modded pede shafts kept popping off. Luckily he made it through the last comp, but after that, he broke three of the modded pede shafts over the course of the next two weeks practicing. So I had to upgrade his to maxx's before the next comp this weekend. By using the adapter you can use any spur you want and you don't have to shave down the maxx yoke. It spaces the drive shaft further out from the transmission giving needed clearance. I also used this on my scaler with a R2D because the maxx shaft would not clear the collar on the dig slider.

Very cool Nova, I had totally forgotten about those. I'm not sure if they would work on Pepe though because of the triangulation of the front upper links. However, the lowest gearing I like to run on anything is 87/16 on my comp crawler. I can accomplish nearly the same gearing by running an 84/15 combo. 87/16 = 5.44 84/15 = 5.6 So it's all good either way. Pepe's goin to have some wheelspeed for mud pits and truck pulling so higher gearing will be in order. |

| Not sure of the physical size difference between that spur and the stock one, but as long as it is a few mm smaller you should be fine. I tried maxx shafts on the front but had to grind a little bit of the yoke which ended up breaking. Ended up just swapping to a jato shaft for the front, but the RC4wd adapter is a great way to fit the maxx yoke if the jato doesnt hold up.
