Looks awesome Griz! Remember a while back there was a discussion about running the top links one up and one down? I'm no suspension guy but reckon you'd see any advantage in running yours that way?

Since I want to let the shocks sag a bit to get the desired ride height I thought that might help in controlling twist. Now I just gotta go do some reading to remember which one to put on top. Thanks metom, I appreciate it.

The hard part though is getting all your bends correct and ending up with something close to square. That is pretty easy after you've done a few. Basically it just takes some practice but I've seen guys turn out nice stuff on their first efforts. Thanks Jim. Excellent exesive! That's perfect. Now I remember seeing that on the TCS site.

Griz, that is looking awesome, makes my K2-5 build look like a Tyco truck. I will be re-working my build now, my wife thanks you for getting me out of the house and back in the garage.

Dang Griz, that thing is looking sick! I really like the stance with the body pushed back on the chassis, very cool. |

I thought it really looked mean and made it kinda unique. Lots of people stretch the rear. No updates yet, I've been working on Guido this week. There should be some progress soon though.

Managed to get some work in on Pepe here. It's a roller now. Added a roll cage, I needed this because I wanted to use the roof as a body mounting point. I'd like to add more bracing but this will prolly have to do for Montana. MSD Ultimate knuckles, TCS crawlers aluminum knuckles, RCP CVD's went in the front axle. The rear axle got RC4WD straight axles and RC4WD rear lockouts. Unfortunately the MSD Ultimate lockouts are not a direct fit with the RC4WD straight axle shafts. The RC4WD shafts are too short to get the hex pin in, I'm sure there is an easy fix but I don't have time to experiment. Wheel nut covers from Mnster went on and look just awesome. Maxx driveshafts are in and the skid is drilled for the tranny. It's a tight fit with the Holmes Hobbies Puller motor but everything seems to fit. Got some paint on the body. It's painted on the outside as well as the inside. This weekend I will remove the drivetrain so I can finish welding the tube work and paint the chassis. I'll let the pics tell the rest. |
