thats one awsome looking body. you did a great job!!! |
very nice |
Why do you still have a penquin chassis? :T Overall it's pretty nice. Good Job . |
yeah its very tight but yeah why the stock tranny ? |
penguin is soon to be releasing some pede tranny plates called "magnum plates", im waiting til those come out b4 the swapover, its says this at the bottom of my post :? thanks for the compliments :D |
dayum... i HATED that body, but on there it looks fantastic. |
It is going to be a capable crawler or a trail rig? |
Hey thats the first one I have seen with this body, besides mine :) Looks very nice. Do you have a link to where you got those links? (no pun intended) |

I sent him there.:D |
its gonna be a fairly serious crawler, a bit of trail stuff too but mainly rock bashing, i can highly reccomend the defiance links, very well made and mike is a great guy to deal with :D tried the truck out 2day, it finally stopped raining, a few tweaks here and there will be needed like moving the upper shock mount point higher up on the chassis. I may also play around with trying to get the batteries a little lower down but its definitely showing a lot of potential for crawling :) |
I completelyagree with Badhoopty ;) Looks very good!!! |
You've managed to make "gold" functional. Good job with the chassis, and I hope you get those stampede plates soon because that modified stock setup likely won't last. |
thanks guys :), i agree radish, the stock tranny probably wont last long, hopefully the magnum plates arent too faraway, from what i hear the testing is almost complete, i dont think the gold on the rims will last long either, theyve already been scraped a few times  |
thanks pretty cool |
hey do you get much axle slop with that link set up? |
On your upper chassis link mounts, those ball joints from the factory can break if you hit the axle a little to hard, just something to look out for. My snapped two days after i stretched my tlt. Anyway great truck. hope to see a pede tranny in there soon. |

dont get much axle slop at all actually, its all pretty tight, but that may increase with frequency of use, as for the tamiya ball joints im lookin into using something else in the near future, just tryin to figure out exactly where i wanna mount them first, thanks for the comments guys :D |
I replaced the upper chassis link mounts with a long bolt, traxxas ball joints, and alum tube as spacers. I guess if you hit it really hard it might bend, but mine never did. Plus it wont break like the stock part. |
