| Project Tweaker... VMG crawler
Hi all! I'm a little new to RC crawling, but after finding this website, I've found a bit of inspiration to convert my VMG to a crawler. It is my first venture into crawler territory, so tips are appreciated. Next to go on will be a gear reduction unit and a different body (man, those VMG bodies must be the BUTT UGLIEST bodies ever conceived)... Now for the pics (wife has the good camera, so these will have to suffice)... Classic front 3/4 view CLICK ME<---- Rear CLICK ME 2 <---- Showing my Mini Quake whos boss... CLICK ME 3 <----- Thanks to all the members of the forum for the good information that constantly is available here. Eric |

Wheelbase is 8".... For the upper link axle mount I used a 1/4"wx1"l pince of alum and drilled three holes evenly spaced on it. The center hole is for the screw for the original upper mount to go through. The other two holes are for the ball ends. The links are pieces of stainless steel 4-40 rod from tower hobbies... | |
