Very cool. I wonder how it will handle a good hit--I have broken a few rod ends after taking a few hard hits...

Everything has its weak point... and it's better if it's a cheap part to replace, I know the TLT rod end aren't the best I could use but they come with the kit so I' ll use them untill they brake.

as there is no springs at all I used some fuel tubing on the shocks shafts for bump stop, also tried before with ear foam (it works like memory foam) but it was to soft.

I've put some tubing between two rod end in the center of the rear suspension like a third center shock, it works like a strap to avoid the rear axle traveling too much and changing the wheelbase improving downhill capabilities, and the other way is to force the rear axle to flex around its center point when it's pushing on the tube

That's real sweet. If there's a way to mount them, a few led's in the frame would make for some sweet fiber-optic lighting for night crawling.

dont' know if i could cut the blue 'neon ' of the pic before to fit the chassis ....

I 've finally received my rear axle driveshaft so I could be able to make a video soon when it will be completed.

I 've also bought a Lipo status, a small card to plug on the charge connector of the lipo that indicates the level of each cell by changing color leds

some poser shots:

one to have an idea of the size:

the lipo status on the top of the radio plate under the mesh :

or under the chassis

I think I should find something to hide this flashy orange receiver and all those wires and maybe switch to an other front shocks setting to have a bit more flex in front

it doesn't stop raining out so I'm trying to fit a wireless camera I'd bought a long time ago for an home made rc submarine but the 2.4ghz transmission was really poor under the water.

should be cool the take videos but nrequires a some organisation and stuff to record next to the crawling spot

& the receiver now in black :

A short video of the first run:

3 weeks of non stop bad weather... I'couldn't stay seeing this every day and still not tried it so I took some little rocks out in the garden to make a small track away from the rain

http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=iAoza6G4g9Q

it was a bit wet and slidding but at least I've something to work on :
-the front shocks are too slow sometimes , need to change the hydraulic setting

-shave the axles bottom

-cut the foam in star

Love this thing, looks too cool! I know you gotta be proud of it too knowing you built yourself and you probally won't roll up beside another one like it on the rocks! Good ingenuity.

here 's a new vid from yesterday

http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=wBYG7vnQQio

I didn't made any of the improvements mentioned the last time except the foam cut and a kind of windshield.

sometimes poor trajectories, but it was quite difficult to drive while filming with a stick radio even with the pod, so at the end the camera is mounted on the radio itself

One pic to show how small it's compared to a 2.2
