Default polyethylene flat buggy

Hi, I'm starting one more TLT axles based crawler with plans designed long time ago, inspired by the WRF, but never done the chassis ....before yesterday:

more soon in about a week cause I've lent my axles

Wow. You will be able to see just about all of the terrain under your rig. No body or tubing to block your view. Nice. It will be cool to see every little feature that wants to grab your axles etc.

The backdrop is pretty impressive. Looks like a great place to call home.

I still didn't got my parts back but made few things today: the upper link / servo plates , made a new motor/trans skid with smooth edges, threads for easy maintenance, cuts for the motor plate and for the tranny:

-front servo: hitec 645 & rear: hitec311
-rims: topcad alu 8holes w/o offset
-tires: SdI trail doctor XL ultra-soft
-tranny :Axial locked
-motor: integy 75T
-pinion Robinson 13t & spur 83t
-driveshafts:Traxxas with steel yokes

Thx for the comments, the innovation is not the main goal here, this one is my 10th crawler since 2005 if I'm right, and it's the first time I use a Lathe motor & classical tranny instead of downsided reduced motors epicycloidal gear, lightweight chassis & battery packs, piloted suspension, etc... but I wanted to try what everyone use to know if I'm right trying to search every time new things to make my builds differents or if it's better........ or not;)

to be continued...

The rear links & shocks are finally a bit different from what it's was supposed to be when I've designed the chassis :

http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/techart...t_2/index.html

I try to follow those rules for the links in my builds when I can, results on my last scale gave a decent flex with not too much axle steer : http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=lJw2B0_Qbdk

I've juste measured the lower links and despite their massive appearance one of those weighs 7.81grams while one the way it's usualy made weighs 10.62g

I'll try to make the front with two lower links bent a track bar and a panhard bar in front to keep some place for a lipo pack just behind the servo , but I'll may need to make a plate for the panhard up pivot ball :

I've found it trying to leave home this evening ! does it smell's the rocks outside?! :
but it's still front wheel drive and I run faster

Seem's that the rear linkage is a bit too long & I 'll change the rear steering tie rod for something regular:

there used to be a company that made clear touring car dish wheels that used metal wheel covers to change the look. They also came with metal disk brakes. My LHS carried them. If your interested I could see if he still has some.

I have a purple set of those ---^ on a TC3. This thing is awesome. It looks like it's going to work very well also.
