Is this any better? I added 2 screws to hold down the top corners and ruan the blow dryer on it. I also added stickers for better performance.

Man I forgot about the Jato shaft. I saw them at the LHS about two months ago and thought Hmmmmmm. But I have not had any issues with the pede shafts so I"ll hold off.

Yep, I really don't have a problem with the Pede shafts either I just wanted to waste another $50 on this hobby and spend a hour installing them.

Here's the latest update to my TLT. I bought some new IB1200 cells from cheapbatterypacks.com and mounted them in a custom configuration on my front axle. 2 of them are on top of each side of the axle housing and 1 of the back side of each front knuckle.

This obviously brings the weight very low and makes the over all weight of the rig somewhat lighter.

I also took out the Rooster and replaced it with a Super Rooster, while I did that I installed it on the rear servo mount instead of up high in the chassis.

I made it so that I can still mount my original battery pack on top of the front links and servo in case this battery pack dies during a comp or for more run time while playing.

On to the pics.

Here is the size difference in the batteries. On the left is the most common sub c GP3300 cell, in the middle is a GP 4/5SC 2200 cell (my old TLT packs), and on the right is the new Intellect 1200 2/3A cell.

Let us know how the IB 1200s work out. Nice custom pack work. I think they make smaller battery bars for those cells.

They seemed to work really well in today's comp. I had plenty of run time to run 3 stages and then play for a bit after words.

I have some of the smaller bars on order. I don't know that I will rebuild this pack with them though, I am relying on the bars and solder joints to hold the cells behind the knuckles in place.

What rate do you charge those IB1200 cells? I have a friend that has a pack now and is wondering. I'll probably get a pack also.

BTW, Awesome rig Badger!

I charge them at .5 amps for longer run times. I run eight cells now for punch.

Thanks. I think I am going to tear it down completly and rebuild it.

Spending time in the garage is what I do to relax. Having ADD ID I don't really like sitting in front of the TV for long, which is also why I love RC Crawling so much. I can build and rebuild all day long and not get bored.

Snowkd, with my larger 2200 cells I was getting over 2 hours run time on them. These IB1200 cells have much less capacity because of there size. I don't know the run time yet since I have only ran them at one comp.

Sounds like me. I might watch a half hour of TV a week. Working on my RCs and 1:1s take up alot of my alone time.
