|  my new tlt 2.2 rig
Hi, folks , I started to made a new chassis for one of my tlt cause a guy Irun with sold a ckrc dig and my previous chassis was not done for it  the p^revious one so I made something more regular in form and ended with this :        I tired to use a thin as possible skid plate for otpimum ground clearance and COG as well, not so easy cause of the motor going out of the plate on one side in the end the chassis is exactly the same width (78mm)than the old one with the side open, so ... I could have made something with it, but it's to late, no regrets ;) there are top cad alum wheels (+10offset) in front and proline in rear (guessed the front battery & servoplate a bit to much wide before I received the prolines ) as you can see I re-used the tlt servo saver fort he dig the programmable radio is a real plus for the settings of the dig ; set the neutral and travel ending and you're ready . the cage is alum tubes bolted to be continued ....need to make the side panels, and replace the spring by losi"s white front and red in the rear Last edited by SilverRidge; 10-25-2008 at 04:29 AM. |

Looks good so far!! What are the chassis plates made from?? Same material as your last build?

Thanks , yes it's made of translucent plastic named petg, it's a bit more softer than polycarbonat but wont brake easily and has a certain amount of form memory : we use it at work and it supports cold bending in hydraulic presses, if you want a 90°angle you need to bend it at 120° then it comes back to 90° few minutes later

|    this what the tuber finally looks like , I had to mod it after I received the Dig servo plus I've seen on my comp rig that I use much more travel on front so short shocks in the front was not a such good idea , but I don't know yet if I put my tlt axles on or some axial's Last edited by SilverRidge; 01-27-2009 at 02:01 PM. |

I did a new version yesterday with a plastic (nofrix) skid plate that really slide better than the alloy one and some renforcements that only weigh 138grams (0.3lb) ans the tube are now inside of the side vertical plates so they don't hang one the rocks anymore
