Default ROCKEDUP RICKY's 1.9 COMP

I have been working on a 1.9 comp rig. Hopefully OKRCRC or NWARC will have a 1.9 class. We plan on having a 1.9 class at Crawlapalooza 09.

I started off narrowing the axles. I going with the RCP gears and CVCs in the front. I used a short axle on each side.

Here they are ready to go. I had these link mounts off my 1st TLT build. Had to mod them a little but they'll work. Makes them look beefy.

I'm using TCS clocked Cs on the front , so I made this servo mount .

I made the mount so the servo sits flat after the axle being clocked. Helps to keep the linkage up where it should be. With this mount my linkage sits higher on the face of the punkin, so the linkage will go farther back. It's just a little , but with no dig class you need every little bit you can find.

Here's my shot at a chassis. Guys all I have is a steady hand and a dremel tool. Don't make fun. It will change when I get the AKRCC chassis gets done.

The electronis just fit in this thing. Not a lot of room on a 1.9.

I bought this body along time ago by mistake online. Pushed the wrong button. It's been sitting there for ever. It findly found a home .
I left the body a little high, I want to make some 4 inch tall tires ,but not sure what I'm going to make yet.

I wonder if you could flip the rear axle to get the pinion/driveshaft straighter with the trans output...the link mounts you have would make it pretty easy to do, from the look of it. Was thinking it might free up the rear end a little bit and keep things from binding with the angles you have going there.

Looks good Rick.. I cut and narrowed some 2.2 Rock claws and they measure 4". I'll probably try another set or tire, as I'm not too keen on the tread design

Good idea, but then my rig would go forward and backward at the same time , it looks bad but it doesn't bind . I'm thinking I might narrow an axle the other way to bring it straighter. Then I would have to cut, drill and pin the axle to the gear. The way I did this one ,you don't have to do that, just use 2 short axles

I didn't care for it either, takes away from the tire. I like Sven's panthers. I've been cutting up all my old tires trying to come up with some thing. Anybody know how soft the rc4wd mud trashers are. they're 3.9 tall I think.

Width is 7 3/4 and the wheelbase is 8 1/2
I could take the width down to 6 3/4, I got some spacers in there now. But this is where I have it for now. I was heading out to give it a run, but it started raining. :-(
