Default new tlt

i just bought a new tlt at a tamiya factory sale for 50bucks
so i got a smokin deal
then i got a
rooster
645servo
lathe motor
im using a 2400 stick pack
and a rx pack
and then i locked the 3 diffs
the stick pack im mounting on the top of everything cuz i dosent fit any were else
i have taken her out allready and had a blast

i just had some questions

1
.if i wanted to buy a new chassis like a bula 2 or RBX Laydown Chassis
2.
i know i need a new tranny but which 1
will a stampede work or a rustler tranny
3.
i know i need some new links and im not quite sure which length
in the sticky it says 96mm and 108mm
but is 108 the length for the all the lower links
and 96 for the top links?
4.
if i bought the bula 2 would it come with upper link mounts
or something like a plate that goes over the servo and the inks mount on top of that?

thanks for all your help an your time

who wants to see some action pics?

They're the same tranny.

No, it doesn't. Check the thread in the vendor forum and you'll see what's included.

elec pede and rusty trannies are the same from what i have read.

i would ask the manufacturer for thier recommended link sizes. there are alot of variables with links and different chassis setups to where there really isnt a standard size for them.

to my knowledge, the bula2 doesnt come with upper link mounts, but with the rbx you can get them at an added cost. (i asked the same thing in the rbx post, and i was told he has some boat servo mounts that adapt to upper link mounts pretty easily)

The FAQ is old an in need of a face lift. There are TONs of link combinations. I suggest you do searching around here for some build up threads. Look at bulu threads if you're buying a bulu, etc...

Ummm... You can try both... As long as the 9tooth is the right pitch. I'd say swap out your spur gear for one with a more common pitch and get a 12 tooth and 15 tooth pinion. 12 is good for slow, and 15 is good for a little wheel spin, but still lots of torque.
