| new tlt
i just bought a new tlt at a tamiya factory sale for 50bucks so i got a smokin deal then i got a rooster 645servo lathe motor im using a 2400 stick pack and a rx pack and then i locked the 3 diffs the stick pack im mounting on the top of everything cuz i dosent fit any were else i have taken her out allready and had a blast i just had some questions 1 .if i wanted to buy a new chassis like a bula 2 or RBX Laydown Chassis 2. i know i need a new tranny but which 1 will a stampede work or a rustler tranny 3. i know i need some new links and im not quite sure which length in the sticky it says 96mm and 108mm but is 108 the length for the all the lower links and 96 for the top links? 4. if i bought the bula 2 would it come with upper link mounts or something like a plate that goes over the servo and the inks mount on top of that? thanks for all your help an your time who wants to see some action pics? i would ask the manufacturer for thier recommended link sizes. there are alot of variables with links and different chassis setups to where there really isnt a standard size for them. to my knowledge, the bula2 doesnt come with upper link mounts, but with the rbx you can get them at an added cost. (i asked the same thing in the rbx post, and i was told he has some boat servo mounts that adapt to upper link mounts pretty easily) | |

The FAQ is old an in need of a face lift. There are TONs of link combinations. I suggest you do searching around here for some build up threads. Look at bulu threads if you're buying a bulu, etc...

thanks guys for the quick responses on the short not thou should i stick with the stock 24tooth pinion of put in a 9 tooth that i have already? this would be for lathe motor and locked diffs. |

Ummm... You can try both... As long as the 9tooth is the right pitch. I'd say swap out your spur gear for one with a more common pitch and get a 12 tooth and 15 tooth pinion. 12 is good for slow, and 15 is good for a little wheel spin, but still lots of torque. | |
