| Nope, gave it up. Still have the chassis layin around somewhere. If all you do is climb steep stuff it's great but the articulation was limited and the rebound far to bouncy for my taste. Geez must be two years now since I drove that beast. Good luck.

| BMV Torsion w/TLTs
Not sure what torsion chassis you were considering. I bought a used BMV chassis with TLTs under it, about a year ago. Love the thing. Took getting used to. Loaded the wheels up w/lead and went with 5.7" Lizard-Claw hybrid tires. Cheap to make. My local hardware carries Piano wire for $4 for a 36" pc. Couple pcs of 1/4" delrin. If you go this route, PM me, I can tell you the specs on the stock BMVII (wire dia., wire spacing, length, etc). Vids I found of other rigs do not do this chassis justice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8KAU5RAdc8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbtgo...eature=related |

i have the pimp slap but i think i have seen the bmv. im not really sure which way i want to go because i have never driven a crawler before. all i do is race so not really sure how to drive or do anything with a crawler. atm im trying to stock chassis mod but it would be cool if you could show me some pics of your truck w/o the body

what is the advantage of a torsion chassis..seems like there is no articulation whatsoever....is it just for climbing steep rocks... I don't get it. |

Simple Cheap No Oil to leak No links to break/strip/bind Higher center clearance then 3/4 links Yes, my TLT axled BMV gets only about 2 to 2-1/2 of articulation, but sometimes that stiffness helps me pick a line that the AX10's I run with cannot take. Hang one front wheel off in a crevis and it will only dangle down 2", keep moving forward until it contacts the other side. Not better, not worse, just different lines. |
