Default My first TLT crawler w/custom chassis

I have been lurking around here for a while so I figured I should start contributing. I just finished my custom chassis and droped in a Pede tranny. The chassis is something i threw together quickly (sketched in about an hour) so dont be to harsh. I need to make a few changes... mainly more shock mounting points. Give me your opinions... I have this drawn in CAD and had these Laser cut... so maybe some experts can help me get the next revision better. So far I performs great... Enjoy!!

I need helP with a name for it and suggestions for a body... I am thinking a Nissan Titan ..

Awesome way to introduce yourself. It looks real good so far. I'd suggest making some longer pede sliders, since it looks like you are at a 12.25" wheelbase or so, and the pede shafts are barely effective extended for that wheelbase. Anything over 12 should receive lengthened shafts, and even at 12" you're pushing the strength of the shafts.

And do you have a laser cutter, or did you pay for it?

good info on the sliders. Ill have to try that if I have problems. As for the laser, I have access to it where I work. And yep, the wheelbase is exactly 12.5.

nice chassis... very clean and sanitary...

Suggestions...
1. put battery over front steering servo
2. like PWT said lengthen ur shafts.. ur trucks drive shafts that is
3. MY fettish SLEEVE THOES PUNIE A$$ STEERING LINKS. With some 3/16's break line
4. Consider sleeving lower links... they look the same thinkness as the steering links...

5. Consider going to a 40/60 setup and only extend 1 drive shaft... 60/40 seems to be the ticket nowadays.

6. OH ya and a center skid..

But overall NICE lookin chassis and rig.. very profesional lots of adjustments...

Is it just me or does that chassis look exactly like the stock one? But w/the sides cut out for the trans. Plus some holes.....lol

Where the battery is now is the front..... and I plan on running a stick pack flat extending out over the front axel....

I am running 1/8" stainless rod for the links and have not had a problem so far.... the steering links do suck and I have bent both the front and rear... I will try the stainless rod for those and then I will try sleeving them if they bend. I personally like the looks of the smaller rod though.
