So, I got my motors on Saturday and got everything up and running on Monday. The only thing is is that the motors don't always go the same speed and so it makes the truck kind of jumpy. Will a better ESC help my problem? If so, can someone point me in the direction of a good, small, preferably (sp?) waterproof ESC? I would also like it to have very smooth and precise throttle control.

Wire the motors up in parallel, i had this problem also. If they are in series it will work but one will spin before, and faster than the other. Hope it helps.

Cheers`

Another thing about motors is sometimes if the can is touching metal it will create glitch or stutter problems... What esc are you running now?

The motors are wired in paralell. I'm going to go make sure that they are not touching anything that's metal and also check the timing.

I just ran it around outside and it seems to do pretty good. It has about as much torque as a stock 27 turn motor and runtimes are between 10 and 15 minutes.

With these motors my truck does about 10 mph !!! It's kinda nice though to have that much wheel speed.

Well, I'm bored so I thought I would post up some pics of my crawler in it's latest form. As you can see I ditched the whole dual planetary Idea. It was just to finicky for me. And Completely stripped out a couple gears in one planetary .

It's just easier to mount the electronics with it there.

Very nice, I like what you have done to keep everything low, barely above the tire hight. Seems to me these new lowrider-style crawlers are the hot ticket now.
Good job

Got the new chassis all machined and I think this is the final overall design. I call it the P4 chassis. I also switched to 64 pitch gears. What a difference! I'm ONLY going to run 64 pitch now. Anyways, it was dark outside so I did alittle bit of indoor crawling on the entry way step. LMK what you guys think!
