Splitting the wheel???? I didn't do anything like that... The pics in post #18 are of one with the wheel weights added and a different one without. The basic idea is: All I had to do to add the weights was to take the wheel off the truck, wash the inside if the rim, peel the backing off the weights, and start sticking them on in a cross pattern untill the rim was full.
The weights came a few weeks after I had already finished the wheel/tire combo. It was an add-on later thing.
And the rim of the wheel that looks cut was only there because I narrowed the wheel before everything else.
