I didn't even try it, after some thought and some messing with a dog bone style shaft, it would prove to be to much of a headache to bother with if you are going to dedicate your TLT to crawling.

use it for a while. it has two shortcomings. one its can only use dogbones (unless you mod it like i did) and two the diff doesnt lock very well.

You know the plastic parts that hold the balls in the center of the diff? you need to jb weld them to the plastic belt gear thing. Fill the entire little "ditch" that those two parts make with jb weld (let one side dry before you do the other). Make sure you tighten the allen screw that goes threw the center as tight as possible before you jb weld it. It wont matter if you strip it because your not gonna be able to take the plastic parts back apart anyway.

The only problem with this is that it makes a sometimes weak bond and can come undone. The TAO4 (i think thats what its called) has a diff that will work with the tlt and it is shaped like the axle diffs so you can lock it easier.

OK thanks for all the help!
One quick question, Are you guys using the stock spur gear(83 teeth) or are you guys moving up to something bigger?

I am using some of the stock components, but modified tranny plates. I used a 4tec diff to use the traxxas sliders.
