Nice Buggy!

How's it workin for ya?

I would like to try a droop set-up sometime.

rmdesignworks 04-28-2009 05:04 AM

max,,thanks,,,i really like the set up,,works well

chevellian,,,thanks too,,,this is my first full droop rig but it works well and i am sticking with it,,it climbs with every other shafty i put it up against so far,,,my droop is a little different cuz i dont run internal springs in the shocks,,i use elastic zip cords on the out side of the shocks which gives me my compression but i have full range of the shocks,,i can tightena nd loosen the zip cords for more flex and torque twist control as nec.,,,when i change my chassis and truss set up i am going to change to flat-1/4 inch wide zip cords which will give it a look of limiting straps,,,im also upgrading soon to a rooster crawler and 2.4 radio,,which will be after i redo the chassis' and trusses

rmdesignworks 05-03-2009 11:07 AM

oh,,,yeah,,,,rooster crawler,,,,256 steps of control,,,,NICE

bought it yesterday and installed it and messed around a bit in the house,,( it was late ) so much more control,,run time tripled,,,,i'm stoked

rmdesignworks 05-05-2009 08:25 PM

i couldn't resist taking my tuber to work today,,the truck ,radio and my feild gear all fit in my soft side contractors briefcase...

played around in the dirt a bit and started having problems with the rear power output,,i thought maybe i stripped the pinion,,but as it turned out when i disassembled the axle one of the diff carrier bolts had backed completely out and was hanging the diff in the case,,,i love how easy these axles come apart,,,15 minutes tear down/rebuild time and about 15 minutes of actually fixing the carrier....all good now....rooster crawler is flawless,,best purchase in a long time...dx3r in the very near future...things are getting better

roninwarrior555 05-07-2009 10:08 PM

that looks slick i would like to build one my self..

rmdesignworks 05-08-2009 07:32 PM

that novak thing,,,rocks! i did my research and no one else's esc's had the specific crawler application in mind,,,even tcs says if crawling is your thing the rooster is the one to check out,

here's some so so cell phone pics from the rock pile (dumped chunks of concrete) rig only got stuck in one spot when the right front tire was wedged in between the ground and an over hung chunk,,was twisting under......

Tuber

Great looking Buggy. Looks like a "Comp Beast""thumbsup".

rmdesignworks 10-27-2009 02:57 AM

well this rig had gone through some major changes,,but it's coming back tolife with the tube chassis,,but it may get rebuilt with Axial axles,,but the TLT's are good and I have a bunch of new parts to rebuild them too so,,,

rmdesignworks 10-28-2009 09:45 PM

I have torn the TLT axles completely apart,,rebuilding them with new cases and diffs (locked),,shaving the cases and installing the ALuminum knuckles and C's back on,,,I'll save the Axial axles for another build

I'll post some pics tomorrow

rmdesignworks 10-31-2009 11:40 AM
