Differnet ratios for tlts?

Now that the Axial axles have different ring and pinion options (and people are buying and enjoying them - plus it really helps) is there any chance someone will make the same for tlts? Maybe I'm grasping at straws but I would think there are enough tlt owners out there to support the product.

i asked a few vendors about this before the ax10 even existed and nobody seemed interested in making them. i'd love to get lower gears for TLT axles.

Sounds like a job for EGRESSor.

I never felt I needed for the Axial axles until the new gear sets. Now I have my first set thanks to 62PYRO "thumbsup" their not installed yet but from what I've heard from Nova's Ark (a long time TLT guy himself) the Axials with the gear sets are the a must have.

I am a die hard tlt guy and would LOVE to have a different ratio to play with

Hey it looks as if Christian has already done 3.2:1 gears.

http://www.modelrec.com/search/product-view.asp?ID=5582
that will work with some mods
the gears are sintered , like the HPI gears

Its sad to say but I think the TLTs are seeing there last of the glory days. It seems that the Axial just may suffer the safe fate. Time will tell, this hobby is changing so fast and a lot in the last year! With more peps changing to MOA I still have the TLT's. MOA's just are not realistic you cant build a MOA 1.1 they are all shaftys always thought this hobby was based off real a 1.1 MOA just dont cut it.

What type of mods are needed to get the gears to work?

the problem is thst the market for them would be very small. Most pepole with the interest are comp guys and there are very few these days comping tlt's. Scale guys might be interested bust most don't even run aftermarket gears. That tells me they probably wouldn't buy different ratios either. I might be wrong but I think it would be a huge cost with almost no return.

TLT's will always be used for crawlin... as long as I'm crawlin!

Optional gear sets would be AWESOME! I'd buy a set... or maybe 38)

I just swapped out my TLT axles for Axial because of the gear ratios.
My TLTs have been good I've been running them since 06 they have been very dependable but with the Axial's new gear ratios I had to make the change.

I will put them under a 2.2 scale truck so they are not retired. "thumbsup"
