They're in the works, the first couple will start shipping either tomorrow afternoon or Thursday morning.

Hey I noticed in some of the pics of your buildup you drilled holes where those little plastic "bumps" were on the axle for the upper link mount. Did the mount flex that much?

I have no idea why I quoted that. I just hope I'm not too far down the list

You're not far down the list.

I drilled those 2 extra holes just to avoid shaving the nubs off. I ran the prototype chassis for months without screws going through the nub tabs, without any problems. But, after drilling holes and running a couple screws through the tabs, it makes the mount alot more rigid. My mounts are actually a little thicker then needed. I'd rather over build a little, then under build a little. You do have to trim the rib that runs along the top of the axle, so the servo/link mounts sit flat on top of the housing. I took a Dremel and sanding drum to mine.

Thumbs down

I'm using my own link mount and they don't even come near the "nub's" seems very stiff! I also used angle alum. to mount the servo not the plastic kit parts maybe that has something to do with it? I took it out the other day and crawled some broken concrete piles by my house, it was OK but not the same as rock! I did manage some carnage though, broke 3 out of 4 "c's" off the rear axle! I didn't even know it till I started taking it apart to figure out a rear lock out spacer and found them cracked and barely hanging on!! Anyone know where to get the "D parts" couldn't find them on Tower or Ultimate Hobbies.

Here's a link to the axle housings on Tower Hobbies site, it looks like they're out of stock though.

I just ordered a couple from them last week and they were in stock. I guess I ordered just in time.

Is this a common problem? Should I stock up on extra's? I was looking at it last night and was trying to come up with a way to make new "c's" out of alum. and kinda "clam-shell" the end of the axle after removing the stock plastic part.

I've only broke one housing and that was just recently, I think I've seen about 4 or 5 break total. It's without a doubt the weakest point on the axles.

I agree! I was getting to that but slowrockr beat me to it!! A brace or metal "c's" just cut of the stock one's and bolt up some nodular iron!! Would also add some weight to the bottom of the truck, NO more BB's!!

I'll have to sit down and look a housing over to see what can be done.
