| Question about fit on CVD's
I've been hording a new set of TLT's with RCP knuckles and CVD's hoping to get them mounted on something. My question is: The CVD stubs are larger diameter than standard shaft stubs and don't fit in my 1.9 wheels, do they fit other wheels or will I have to modify my wheels? First set I've seen and couldn't find much in searchs. Thanks in advance. Last edited by NeroWolfe; 09-29-2009 at 11:31 PM. Reason: 4th grade spelling lmao |

I constantly run into this issue with my TLT MIP CVDs. I usually choose to just drill out the hole on the wheel.

Thanks for the reply. That's kind of what I figured. It didn't appear that drilling the rims would hurt anything, just didn't want to risk it.

As long as you dont cut too much away from the pin area, then you'll be fine. I didnt have an issue with those new rims from RC4WD that eliminates the hex and mounts the wheel directly to the pin. There still seems to be plenty of pocket for the cross pin to sit in...

I did have to use a small drop of locktight to keep the bolts on. Good luck

Having to drill out the wheel will depend on the wheel.... Loctite is always a good idea.
